The Fallas
From 12 to 19 March, the city of Valencia celebrates the Fallas of Saint Joseph, a festival declared of International Tourist Interest. In this feast the most important thing is the fire, because about 700 monuments of papier maché are burnt during the called Nit del Foc (Night of Fire). Its origin is pagan. A permanent feature of the Fallas are musical bands, firecrackets and rockets called mascletá and floral offerings.Juan Miguel Arias
